Accommodation
Beck House is a truly stunning barn conversion next to Thacka (a small beck), Penriths ancient watercourse, in this historic market town and providing luxurious self catering accommodation at a realistic price. It is situated only 2 minutes walk from the town centre, at the end of a residential cul-de-sac. The site was previously the home to one of the oldest breweries in the North, until its closure in the early 1900s. Beck House was the brewery warehouse, built in the 18th century and converted in 2010 utilising much of the original sandstone and reclaimed timber to retain the character, but furnished and equipped with the finest quality furnishings and fittings. Penrith is well provided with amenities, including pubs, restaurants and shops and is easily accessible by car, coach or rail. It is 2 minutes drive from junction 40 on the M6 and 5 minutes walk from the train station. The owners can pick guests up from the station if required, they also provide a meet and greet service on arrival.
