An excellent choice for touring south to the Mull of Kintyre north towards Oban or into the quiet hinterland of west coast Argyll. Nearby Lochgilphead offers shops places to eat out and a swimming pool. The accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms: 2 king-size 1 twin and 1 bunk bedroom with additional toddler bed. Accommodation overview: CHARMING COTTAGE CLOSE TO THE SHORES OF LOCH LINNHE In a spectacular position with panoramic views over the loch to the mountains of Kingairloch beyond this charming semi-detached cottage is part of the original ferryhouse which is approximately 250 years old. With a fascinating historical background the ferryhouse has been sympathetically modernised to create a holiday home of unique character. The very picturesque village of Port Appin is an ideal base for exploring and Oban is within a 40 minute drive. Day trips can be enjoyed to Glencoe and Fort William or by taking the passenger ferry from Port Appin across to the island of Lismore. The village shop is 30 yards from the property and there are two restaurants nearby. Leisure facilities: cycle and boat hire can be arranged and other local activities include fishing horse-riding and hill walking. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin.
