Accommodation overview: Newly renovated with a modern interior, the cottage offers river views and on-site fishing. Situated on the banks of the River Nar, the village of Narborough is located between the historic market towns of Swaffham and King's Lynn, both of which provide good shopping, pubs and restaurants. It is eighteen miles from the seaside resort of Hunstanton, with the bird reserves along the North West Coast also close by. There is excellent fishing at Narborough Trout Farm and Pentney Lakes. The village has shops and a Chinese restaurant with further facilities available in Swaffham, five miles away. These three cottages are part of a terrace that was formerly used to accommodate the barge horses and watermen who worked the River Nar. Renovated with modern interiors, the cottages offer river views and on-site fishing - licence required, on the owner's riverbank and lake. Tickets available (details given on booking) to fish the other side of the river with a day pass. Direct access from the door to river walks. Southwold Harbour - All the Harbour properties overlook the water with a mix of pleasure and working boats; beyond this are open views towards Walberswick which can be approached over the nearby footbridge or on the foot ferry (summer only). Accommodation overview: This Wroxham holiday home is a wing of a stately early 19th century hall. Set amidst extensive parkland. Wroxham and Hoveton are at the very heart of Broadland, and are excellent locations for fishing, sailing and bird watching. The River Bure divides the two villages, commonly called Wroxham. It is home to the Bure Valley Railway, Wroxham Barns and Roys, 'the biggest village store in the world'. Both day boat hire and sailing tuition are available locally. It is also just eight miles from Norwich, with the sandy beaches of the East Coast a twenty minute drive away. Hoveton Hall is a stately early 19th century house surrounded by extensive parkland. The East Wing is self-contained with large and sunny rooms, decorated and furnished in traditional style. The three spacious bedrooms can easily accommodate six people. However, by closing off two of the bedrooms, we are also able to offer the Wing at a reduced price for two people. Hoveton Hall Gardens has fifteen acres of formal and informal gardens for guests to enjoy throughout the seasons at no extra charge. The gardens are interlaced with streams that lead to a lake. The market town of Fakenham and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, home to Spring Watch, is just ten miles away. The beautiful North Norfolk coastline at Wells and Blakeney and the famous Broads are also within easy reach, as are a number of National Trust properties including Blickling Hall.
