Visitors can enjoy wonderful scenic walks cycle the famous Cowal Way or try river and loch fishing. Day trips to Inveraray Dunoon and the Isle of Bute are popular and make for a good day out. The nearby marina at Portavadie boasts a fine restaurant overlooking the yachts and a short ferry crossing from here leads to Tarbert which is a pretty fishing village on the Mull of Kintrye and a magnet for tourists and yachties .
