Once home to Elizabeth Gaunt, the last woman to be burned at the stake at Tyburn and a principal hiding place of Prince Charlie, The Tower House has a significant history, and the property retains the tower, which was used as a lookout for raiders from the Borders. Comfortable furnishings with many personal touches blend well with original features of oak panelling, flagstone floors and exposed stonework. The accommodation is spacious and flexible offering plenty of opportunity for escaping the rest of the party, both inside and out, to sit quietly and absorb the ambience of this truly unique house.
